Hi, I'm JAckie
To me, this is a beautiful way to spend the life I’ve been given: To raise two sweet boys, to live and lead with my pastor husband Emilio, and to run beside those hurting, for the good of others and the glory of God.
My desperate heart longed for hope, so I dug into God's Word eagerly seeking answers. I found deep solace in 2 corinthians 4:8-9. We may be pressed, but in Jesus' name, we will never be crushed. As I held onto these truths, God gripped my heart with hope, and placed me on a path toward healing.
What should have taken me out became the catalyst for a life overflowing with peace and expectancy.
I'll never go back to living under a banner of hopelessness. I'll never go back to living in fear, despair, and resignation again. I'm committed to walking in the hope and freedom that Christ has given me, and I'm passionate about helping others do the same.

Since my diagnosis, I've dedicated my life to walking alongside women and ministry leaders, guiding them through the transformative truth that suffering is not the end of their best life, but rather the bridge to a life they never could have imagined. I encourage them to look at the situation before them and believe that our Heavenly Father's hand will lead them through. Today, I'm a passionate educator, writer, and speaker dedicated to empowering others to boldly navigate life's challenges and discover a brighter future with the wild, hopeful reality of the Gospel.

It is a joy to see women walking in the good available to them in every season.

In addition Emilio and I also lead Pressed But Not Crushed (PBNC), a ministry dedicated to supporting pastors, ministry couples, and church teams navigating seasons of hardship. Through PBNC, we strive to create a safe, supportive space where leaders can find biblical hope, healing, and restoration.
This calling to pastor, shepherd and partner with heaven the past 15 years is truly a gift.
We are among those who are constantly relearning that life's greatest joys come not in private comfort and ease, but in choosing what is uncomfortable and hard for the sake of others. Like the Son of Man, we lead not to be served, but to serve. We believe Christian leadership is rooted in giving rather than taking; it is about dying to self so that others may live. It is an honor to walk out the call for the good and the glory.
As a pastor’s wife, I’m honored to partner in ministry with my husband, Emilio, in planting Embassy Church, set to launch in 2026.
Leading and loving it!

Words to live by
Her life and ministry are a beautiful testimony of God’s grace in action, and her voice is one that inspires me to draw closer to Him.
Jackie doesn’t just speak about the power of Jesus.
She lives in that power.
Jackie Avilés is a gifted writer and speaker with an unmistakable anointing to communicate the gospel with clarity, depth, and compassion. Whether through her writing or speaking, Jackie carries a rare ability to weave truth and tenderness, making the hope of the gospel accessible and tangible.
Years ago, I experienced a season of darkness in my life that was so intense, I wouldn't even speak to God, but Jackie spoke to Him on my behalf. She prayed me through that dark season and let me borrow her faith when my own was too weak. I am so proud to know this woman, who even in the face of cancer and pain, proclaims the goodness and grace of God. Follow her. Listen to her. Pray with her. Find rest in this good God she serves.
